This is a project we have been working on for a very long time and at last, it is finally ready. Our beautiful wooden handprint impression plaques are absolutely stunning! They are one of those things that you will have on display on a shelf, stood on your bookcase or hanging on your wall, part of your family home. A real family heirloom.
Oak is so tactile and with your child’s unique handprint cut into the surface – you won’t be able to stop touching it. It is amazing! it looks like the handprint has simply embedded itself into the timber leaving a perfect impression. Of course, that is impossible, it is all down to many hours of carving and finishing, giving a perfectly natural looking hand impression, making this a lovely ornament.
Completely handcrafted and made to order in our Surrey Hills Workshop, these stunning solid English Oak wall plaques will leave you speechless. These will make the best Mothers day and Fathers day gifts. Ideal for Christenings, children’s birthday gifts and newborn gifts. No two handprints are the same and once you receive your wooden impression plaque it will be a totally unique, long-lasting and very personal keepsake to treasure.
The process is very straight forward and very simple and takes no time at all. All you have to do is draw around your child’s hand, or for that matter, yourself and your partner’s hand. You can then scan and email it or post it to us and we do the rest. Simple! Once we have your handprints, these wooden impressions can be carved and finished within our normal 7 – 10 day turnaround time.
Personalisation:
All of our carved handprint impression wooden wall plaques can be personalised with your own engraved inscription. Either carved above and below the impressions. Choose to have names, dates, family name, time of birth, date of birth, baby weight or some other personal message – it is entirely up to you. Up to 20 characters above or underneath each handprint. You can also have one large inscription along the top in larger text, ideal for the family name, favourite quotes etc.
All of our handprint plaques come with invisible screw head fixings for wall hanging. Finished in child-safe oil.
Dimensions:
2.5cm thick x 25cm tall x 20 – 30cm wide (1” x 10” x 12”) depending on the handprint size. Then add 20cm – 30cm / 8” – 12” long (per extra handprint)
