It will make a perfect addition to any garden. As garden swing seats go, this is the equivalent of 1st class. Perfect if you like to sit and read a book whilst gently rocking back and forth – and then if the mood takes you – flying through the air with your feet pointing up at the sky.
As with everything we do we have spent the time researching and sourcing the perfect materials available. Each oak swing is handmade from one piece of Air Dried Superior Grade English Oak. This Timber is perfectly seasoned and adjusted for outdoor conditions. Our swing seats are then hand sanded until silky smooth with beautiful, rounded corners and gently smoothed-off edges. They are extremely comfortable to sit on.
Our UK made Ropes:
All of our personalised garden swings come with 5 metres drop of UK-made Synthetic Hemp rope (on both sides). A strong marine quality rope that is mellow in colour, soft to touch, and being synthetic it won’t swell, shrink or rot, unlike natural rope. Longer lengths of rope are available if required, please let us know how much you need.
All Swings come ready to hang. You can tie your oak swing directly from a tree branch or we can supply marine quality fittings, ideal for adjustment without having to climb the tree. They can also be hung from frames, porches and other such like.
Finish:
As with everything we do here at Make Me Something Special, we have spent the time researching and sourcing the perfect materials available. Each oak swing is handmade from one piece of Air Dried Superior Grade English Oak. This Timber is perfectly seasoned and adjusted for outdoor conditions. You can choose to leave your swing untreated, finished in Superior Danish Oil or our low-maintenance Diamond Coating finish. If you choose untreated your product will weather to a pale silver more quickly. Danish Oil will not only treat the timber but also bring out the timber’s natural colour. This has a UV filter to protect the timber but it does require regular upkeep. 2 – 4 times a year to keep it looking its best. Diamond Coating is more glossy but a lot more harder wearing and only requires a top up once a year, however this depends on the weather and where the product is placed. We would recommend twice a year if you want full protection. Top up kits can be ordered over the phone or on our website.
Personalise your Oak Swing Seat
Our tree swings are available blank or can be personalised with your message. Up to 40 characters per side. You can also add carved hearts, stars and other engraved motifs.
These stunning tree swing seats look fantastic with coordinates of very special places and unforgettable times.
We can also engrave a secret or personal message for you on the underside of your swing, making your tree swing that little bit extra special. Something like a reading from your wedding day, a favourite poem or quote, something witty or just something secret you don’t want anyone else to see – but you know it’s there.
