If you’re looking for something different to display the name of your house, how about one these beautifully engraved oak signposts? These beautiful solid wooden personalised lampposts are just stunning.
We make them in two standard sizes from specially selected AIR-DRIED English Oak wood which has been handcrafted into 10cm thick superior grade pieces! This means your beautiful wooden house signpost is already perfectly accustomed to outdoor conditions and will stay in great shape no matter what the weather throws at it.
Finish:
You can choose to leave your sign post untreated, finished in Superior Danish Oil or our low maintenance Diamond Coating finish. If you choose untreated your product will weather to a pale silver more quickly. Danish Oil will not only treat the timber but also bring out the timbers natural colour. This has a UV filter to protect the timber but it does require regular upkeep. 2 – 4 times a year to keep it looking its best. Diamond Coating is more glossy but a lot more harder wearing and only requires a top up once a year, however this depend on the weather and where the product is placed. We would recommend twice a year if you want full protection.
Setting your Personalised Sign Post:
We recommend you set your oak signpost in concrete for making sure it is properly secure. You can purchase small bags of ready-mixed concrete to fix the post in the ground yourself or contact a local specialist. We recommend you set a minimum of 30cm into the ground for our half size Oak signpost and 50cm for our full-size signpost.
Personalise your Oak Signpost:
The price includes engraving on the front face – up to 20 characters. This can be laid out over one or two lines – it is completely up to you. We also offer further engraving on the other three faces if required.
