Natural Edge Rustic Wooden House Signs, beautifully made in the UK.
Rustic, organic and natural: these handmade heavy-duty rustic wooden house signs are created by hand, from scratch, using hand-selected Superior Grade English Oak and made to considerable thickness. We handcraft each one to order in our UK workshop, choosing the best pieces from our stock to make these beautiful wooden signs. Each one is exquisite and unique.
Our rustic wooden house signs are made from 2.5cm thick solid English Oak and feature the natural Waney Edge of the tree, also known as the live edge. You can upgrade your sign to be much thicker – 4.5cm thick if you prefer. The length of the house signs will vary due to the amount of lettering that is required. We will always allow plenty of room on either side of your lettering to give your house sign a well-proportioned look.

Sign Size:
We make these stunning rustic live edge house signs are available in either small or large size signs giving you the flexibility of having your engraving on one line or over 2 lines. Please see the dimensions below and the images:
Sign Thickness:
Your can choose to have your sign made in two thicknesses, depending on how chunky you want the sign to look. Both signs are made from a single piece of English Oak, it’s all down to the appearance you want.
Finish:
As with everything we do here at Make Me Something Special, we have spent the time researching and sourcing the perfect materials available. Each engraved oak sign is handmade from one piece of Air Dried Superior Grade English Oak. This Timber is perfectly seasoned and adjusted for outdoor conditions. You can choose to leave your sign untreated, finished in Superior Danish Oil or our low maintenance Diamond Coating finish. If you choose untreated your product will weather to a pale silver more quickly. Danish Oil will not only treat the timber but also bring out the timbers natural colour. This has a UV filter to protect the timber but it does require regular upkeep. 2 – 4 times a year to keep it looking its best. Diamond Coating is more glossy but a lot more harder wearing and only requires a top up once a year, however, this depends on the weather and where the product is placed. We would recommend twice a year if you want full protection. Top up kits can be ordered over the phone or on our website
Our rustic wood house signs come with our invisible screw head fixings, so no screws or fittings on display.
